The cumulative dengue report showed that 16 confirmed cases of the disease were recorded on November 5, bringing the confirmed cases of the disease to 2,386, in addition to recording one death, bringing the death rate from the disease to 34 deaths.
The Director-General of the Ministry of Health and Social Development in Gedarif, Abdul Nasser Hassan Ali, appealed to citizens to follow health guidelines, drink chlorinated water, not eat contaminated food and promote positive behaviors, by washing hands with soap and water and proper disposal of waste.
The Director-General also noted the need to cover and clean water storage pots and tanks, and to allocate a day for drying and draining running water, in order to prevent the reproduction of dengue mosquitoes and stop its spread in the state.
