Engineer Al-Sadiq Mohamed Othman, Director General and Minister in charge of the Ministry of Production and Economic Resources in the White Nile State, confirmed the continuation of bird control in the agricultural areas of the state.

The minister pointed to the importance of concerted efforts to provide agricultural mechanisms to apply technical packages, expand agricultural manufacturing industries and achieve the value-added chain of agricultural crops.

Engineer Abdullah Saleh, Director of the General Agricultural Department, stressed the support of farmers with means of production and the adoption of seed production and projects to raise productivity.

For his part, Engineer Al-Mahi Mustafa, Director of the Rain-fed Agriculture Department, praised the efforts made by farmers in applying technical packages despite the weak rainfall rates, and said: “The rain-fed agriculture sector is one of the important agricultural sectors that contribute to providing food security, moving industries and supporting exports.”
