The Supreme Committee for the Establishment of the Intermediate Stage, consisting of a decision No. (61) to and from the state, Muhammad Ibrahim Abdul Karim, paid an inspection visit to the eastern countryside locality of South Kordofan state to determine the readiness of the selected schools to accommodate middle school students, after the decision of the Federal Minister of Education to transfer primary school students to war-affected states and join them in the intermediate stage.
Ms. Amal Idris Al-Zeibaq, Director General of the Ministry of Education and Guidance, confirmed that the aim of the visit is to stand and check on the readiness and possibility of separating the selected schools and how to rehabilitate their infrastructure.
Amal announced that 2024 will be the year for the establishment of the middle school as a project for the renaissance of education.
For his part, the executive director of the eastern countryside locality, Barima Janqul, confirmed the readiness of the locality to prepare the selected sites and create an environment to receive students. He pointed to a number of challenges related to reconciling the conditions of displaced people and refugees inside schools, in addition to completing the shortage of added classes and the possibility of preparing their environment.
He welcomed the governor’s decision to employ the fees collected by students after the decision of the Federal Minister of Education to transfer students to the intermediate stage as a result of the security situation.
He said that his locality is working to involve the community and others inside and outside the city to attract the necessary support to complement the education process.
