The Pentagon Announced the Next Meeting in the Ramstein Format

The next meeting of the Contact Group on the Defense of Ukraine (meeting in the Ramstein format), which will be the 17th, will be held in mid-November.

This was stated by Deputy Speaker of the US Department of Defense Sabrina Singh, RBC-Ukraine reports with reference to her briefing at the Pentagon.

The American official noted that of the $62.3 billion in aid allocated by the United States for Ukraine, 95% has already been spent.

“We have used up all of USAI’s funding. So we only have $1 billion left in existing resources to resupply the US. We still have a small amount of PDA left, but as you saw, our packages were getting smaller because we had to dose our support for Ukraine.” – she said.

Thus, the Pentagon representative noted, Ukraine expects defense support from other states, in particular those participating in the Ramstein meetings.

“As for the consequences on the battlefield, look, we continue to support Ukraine. Just last month we had a Contact Group. We will have another Contact Group on the defense of Ukraine in mid-November . Allies and partners continue to support Ukraine, we continue to support Ukraine in what it needs in its fight.” – said Singh.

She also added that the American side will continue to supply military assistance to Ukraine, but the size of the packages will be reduced .

What is known about the past “Ramstein”

Let us remind you that on October 11, at NATO headquarters in Brussels, another Ramstein format meeting on the defense of Ukraine was held, it became the 17th in a row. In particular, on the same day a meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council took place. Based on the results of a series of meetings within the framework of Ramstein, Ukraine will receive financial and military assistance from partner countries .

Also during the meeting, President Vladimir Zelensky raised issues of additional air defense systems and ammunition for artillery. States consider this a priority when providing assistance .

As noted by the head of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, Charles Brown, Ukrainian soldiers are determined to continue counter-action in the winter, despite the worsening weather conditions.

Let us add that at the end of October, the head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense Rustem Umerov discussed with the head of the Pentagon Lloyd Austin a future meeting in the Ramstein format .
