Sudan: The Remnants of the War of the Battle of “Nyala” Raise Citizens’ Concern

Experts and specialists warned citizens of the danger of these residues, pointing to the possibility of the presence of objects that have not yet exploded.

According to witnesses who confirmed to Al-Taghir that the remnants of the battle circulating on social networking sites occurred in the Khartoum Balil neighborhood, east of the Nyala Specialty Hospital.

Fierce battles took place between the Sudanese army, the 16th Division, and the Rapid Support Forces, which, after many attempts, were able to topple the city on the 26th.

The Rapid Support Forces announced today that they had taken full control of the 16th Infantry Division of Nyala in South Darfur state in western Sudan.

According to a statement published by the Rapid Support on the X platform, it said it killed more than two thousand soldiers, destroyed huge military vehicles, and seized all military equipment.

Over the past few days, the city of Nyala has witnessed heavy military operations, which the army said it was able to repel RSF attacks.

The RSF posted videos on social media, which it said were from inside the headquarters of the 16th Infantry Division.

Heavy fighting in the city of Nyala has caused thousands to flee the city as artillery shells hit homes.
