140 Power Transformers Were Damaged in the City of Nyala as a Result of Battles Between the Army and the Rapid Support

Dr. Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, Director of the Training and Capacity Building Center at the University of Nyala, revealed that 140 electricity transformers were damaged by the battles that took place in Nyala between the army and the Rapid Support Forces.

He said in an interview with Radio Dabanga that one of the electrical engineers told them that Nyala electricity needs at least a year to fix all faults.

He explained that cucumber cutting does not exist in the city and needs an import process from abroad, pointing out that the current conditions that the country is going through are difficult to achieve in the short term.

He pointed to the possibility of operating the water network in the state and the return of water supply soon due to limited damage.
