According to Anadolu Agency, this came during their meeting on the sidelines of the Economic Cooperation Organization summit in the Uzbek capital Tashkent.

He added that Erdogan stressed during the meeting that the Muslim world must take a common position to increase pressure on Israel.

The Turkish president also stressed that stopping Israeli attacks on Gaza would serve peace in the region and the world.

“The OIC should make efforts to reach a just solution at the extraordinary summit to be held in Saudi Arabia” next Sunday, he said.

Erdogan expressed his country’s willingness to adopt the responsibility of the “guarantor” in order to resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
