Russian Missiles Hit Ukraine’s Gur Twice

Russian missile strikes on the building of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, which is located on Rybalsky Island in Kyiv, were carried out twice, writes The Economist magazine.

As stated in the article, the first hit in the GUR building was in March 2022, and the second time this year at the end of May. The publication claims that everything is fine with the head of Ukrainian intelligence, Kirill Budanov . It is noted that he survived at least 10 assassination attempts.

Shortly after the shelling, Budanov came out into the corridor.

on the morning of May 29, Russian troops attacked the headquarters of the main intelligence department on Rybalsky Island. The Ukrainian authorities said that all missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were shot down by air defense systems, but did not provide any evidence. A little later, the head of the GUR, Budanov, said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine “will avenge the attack on an object in Kyiv.” A day later, an UAV raid on Moscow took place.

The defeat of the decision-making center was also announced by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin .

RIA Novosti, citing a source, reported that Budanov was injured as a result of the May strike of the Russian Armed Forces and was hospitalized in a Berlin hospital.
